Gail, I think the friend who gave me the plant four years ago told me they were Gerbera Daisies, her favorites. She moved and I kept meaning to ask her but would forget. When I read your comment I thought, oh, that's what they are, okay, but it didn't ring a bell so I looked up gerber on google (that's what I'd thought she'd said), some kind of daisy. All that said, now I want zinnias, I don't think these are perennials... zinnias are aren't they? And if they look like these guys, well hey that's a good and happy thing!

The contrast of the red and black just popped coming around the corner... hadn't seen a black swallowtail in person before that lol - ... anyway, thanks for the compliment... nice to meet cha too!
