Thank, Mary! It is a "work in progress". Living in the city, not only am I working with a small space, but also the presense of a very large oak tree which I love very much. I have, nonetheless, a reasonably good morning to mid-day sun exposure, and I try to work with that as best as I can.

I very much love climbing roses and and vines like your CI. Pinkie & Sombrieul. You have a very beautiful and mature garden. It seems a place were one could lose track of time!

Oh, how I love this photo. You don't need to dead head them? Pinkie Roses huh? I will remember that. I will have a few of them as soon as we move to a bigger place. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Patty! You can't go wrong with Climbing Pinkie. I've seen it growing behind a bench and trimmed to billow over. What a sight. Plus, it's fragrance right where you are sitting!

Kara, you can't really see one of the roses, as it probably bloomed earlier. It takes them about 4 years to get that big. Cl. Pinkie is a good bloomer and repeats quite often, plus it has a wonderful fragrance you can smell just walking past it. Look for it where they sell antique variety roses.

Oh now I see the comment about it being THREE roses. Very neat.

So beautiful! How old is that pink rose? It looks very happy there!

There are actually 3 roses on that arbor, Geraldine. Cl. Pinkie, New Dawn and Lady Waterlow, a really old variety. I'm glad you like it.
