your "HOME AND GARDENS" are beautiful. this pic should be in a frame and hanging some where in your home! i love it, heck this pic should be in my home...lol [5 star]

Susan, Yes, we have a fireplace, albeit it is non-working. I purchased two of the Amish built heaters, which are electric, with flames, and project a wonderful ambience and heat. I did put a vintage 1900's fireplace mantle with sides in the second year we were in the house, but I kicked around gas logs, but we do not have gas, everything is electric, so I settle upon the Amish heaters with mantles. They are great, I put one in the rathskeller and one in the livingroom/greatroom. They cost less than the furnace, and are very warm and cozy, I would recomend them for anyone. They are a little pricey, but they are worth every penny. We do have gas for the furnace, but the cost was astromical. So although we had the whole house tuckpointed, including the chimmey, and we just rely on the Amish to bring us our ambience and flames. Patricia

You did a wonderful job in your garden and I just think your home is adorable. Love everything about it. Did you put the peonies in yourself? They are lovely. Thanks for sharing.
