You can put it just about anywhere. Use bricks or pavers, whatever to make a level surface for it. It is not likely that the wind will topple it. You might consider a more sheltered spot like beside a building or tree. You will want to be sure that you secure things that are not planted very well. They look good with all sorts of things in them....go for it!!!

This picture makes me want to go get a bird bath! I don't know where I would put it! I have a lot of wind here and very little flat land.
