Hey Anne, yeah those gates didn't have anything to attach to so I put some metal rods in and I use black zip ties to attach them to the rods. It just looks like it goes on the granite post. Got to love that old junk and those zip ties. LOL

lyn i had to take another look.....i have a gate in front of a old cut off pole too! :) i planted a climbing rose in front of it! i have heard "great minds think alike"! {hehe}
