I have no idea. As far as I know it was the only one on the property that color. I just took out about 15 irisis. I've been moving them to the barbwire fence area at the back of the property and there are still some in spots around front. They don't seem to bloom for me. Just hear and there. I don't even know what happened to the one in the picture. I might have given it to my mom when we had to dig the area out for a propane tank for the fireplace. If you are close to the Springfield area come and get these and you can have all the white and purple ones in the front. I'm still trying to figure out what all has been planted here. this is my second summer at this house and it has been one treasure after another. I'm trying to save things but having to move them to expand. Someone loved this property at one time. I LOVE your garden. I'm just having to do a little area at a time but pan on having the whole 3 acres be a retreat!

I love this color. Can you tell me the name? I have a large garden and I want to have a concentration of Irises and roses (miniature). If you look at my photos you will see no irises. But I do have some that are happily growing and one has three buds and one of them looks really dark. It may be the black one. That would be something my first one is a black. I love gardening; it is such a calm soul enriching place to be.
