Thanks Gina and Sharon!  Sharon, I know what you mean by liberating some.  I've thought about it myself.

Very pretty Michelle, we have it growing wild here in NC. I have been tempted to "liberate" some, as Cathrine put's it lol. I put a shovel in my car just yesterday for when I run across something growing wild.

Oh by the way Michelle, I lived in Alpharetta before moving here to NC about 7 years ago. I loved it then and I miss it now. I got real spoiled with all the shopping area so close.  I lived off Northpoint Parkway.

"Good eye Lorraine! Yes it is a fire dept. ladder that failed re-certification & was required to be destroyed. I drilled holes and screwed it to the support posts so it can't be used as a ladder. Works great for the hanging baskets…"

"I liked the Wowie Zowie type last year & this spring I was disappointed when I couldn't find those in the nursery as they grew better & brighter for me than some from the past. So growing from my own is the way to go."

"Joan, thanks so much for your kind words. I love taking pictures and when I see pretty scenes in the garden, I want to capture them so I can cheer myself up in the winter when everything is brown and covered in snow."

"Lorraine, how wonderful that you have a greenhouse. I would love to have one. You are right that zinnias are very easy to start from seed. I just wish I had the room inside (or a greenhouse!) to grow more things from seed. "

"Actually I grew from seed this year in the greenhouse--a very easy one to start. So this fall I will save my seeds & see if they produce the same results."
