Contributing Gardener Comment by Lyn (Sydney,Aus) on December 28, 2011 at 7:15am: Grant I HAD to get out there today and chop some of the roses back as well as massive dead heading! The ongoing rain has sent them crazy and I have one particular ground cover rose that I feel must be on steroids it grows in feet not inches! We debated about pulling it out as it is starting to overwhelm the others.
Have more photos of my roses to post tomorrow.
By the way Grant, yes I know all about being called the wrong name as a kid with 2 brothers and 2 sisters!!

I will see if I can find one for my garden. I love any flower with stripes and splashes and this one is a winner. Thanks for crawling around the the mulch! :)

Have just been out crawling through mulch to read labels. I guess I am a bit like a mother with so many children she calls them by the wrong name!
