Spring Planter

I created this spring-look planter for my mom's eighty-second birthday. She loves gardening but is limited as to what she can do, these days. Age and back injuries have taken their toll. So I try to gift her with items of a garden nature because she loves them so much.

BAHAhahaah!  Yes, most probably, John...btw, have you noticed there hasn't been many new people with comments on your planter lately?  I think we've run 'em all off with our silliness!

Ahhh well.  I always look forward to a good laugh; there's too many mean people out there.....

It's a bit of a tongue twister..gonna shorten it to purplepootomakedirtnew....purplepootomakedirtnew....!   And One more time!   We all live in a yellow submarine, yellow submarine, yellow submarine!

"Good eye Lorraine! Yes it is a fire dept. ladder that failed re-certification & was required to be destroyed. I drilled holes and screwed it to the support posts so it can't be used as a ladder. Works great for the hanging baskets…"

"I liked the Wowie Zowie type last year & this spring I was disappointed when I couldn't find those in the nursery as they grew better & brighter for me than some from the past. So growing from my own is the way to go."

"Joan, thanks so much for your kind words. I love taking pictures and when I see pretty scenes in the garden, I want to capture them so I can cheer myself up in the winter when everything is brown and covered in snow."

"Lorraine, how wonderful that you have a greenhouse. I would love to have one. You are right that zinnias are very easy to start from seed. I just wish I had the room inside (or a greenhouse!) to grow more things from seed. "

"Actually I grew from seed this year in the greenhouse--a very easy one to start. So this fall I will save my seeds & see if they produce the same results."
