Thank you Penelope. I have already removed the two day lily plants on the sides of the hosta as I really want the hosta to be the focal point and the lillies, after dying out, just add a messy look. I will take a new photo as things progress...We (my husband lent me a big hand!) also thinned out the next tier of hostas and planted them all along the back of the house adding a nice border to an other wise bare wall. (Another photo!) It is a pretty shaded part of the overall yard and gives me more time to fuss over the flowers in the rest of the garden.
I'm glad you like the effect!
