Hi, Adele...thought I'd say hello- I grew up on Long Island (Massapequa) and miss the seasons there. I have lived in Florida for over 30 years, but will always consider myself a New Yorker. :) I liked your beautiful quilting and garden photos!
I'm very glad to hear you are truly on the mend, Adele! I've been very busy and haven't had time to keep up with my GI buddies! I hope you haven't felt neglected! Just got up, making coffee! I see it's damp outside again - glad not to have to water!
Hello, Adele! I didn't get a message from you! I'm not sure what you mean regarding the friend invitation. As far as I can tell you are listed as one of my friends. I think we are also a Fcbk friends, if you're the Adele M that lives in Suffolk county!
thanks so much for your comments,
As my garden transforms, it will a free flowing area of Perenials, and in the middle a Rose garden. I'm still designing the structures i wll build around it. Lets keep in touch. Happy 4th!
Hi Adele, Thank you for the compliment, I have been working on this backyard for about 10years, it started out looking terrible, but now it's at it's best. It's alot of work but I just love it, I have been spending alot of time since I retired last year, II am working on a rock garden and dry river bed and it will all be finished, I always go to Walmart both in Centereach and in Setauket because I live closier to South Setauket, I have purchased alot of my flowers from there. Stay in touch.
You're very sweet, thank you. You do quilts too? I love quilts!, I guess because I love color. I haven't invested in the real thing yet. Have several Belk's store versions and my husband bought me a mini one from Cracker Barrel. I bought an authentic antique piece that was fromed that looks real cool. Maybe when I am old and wheelchair bound from the arthritis I will learn to make the quilts.
"Josephine, I cover my deck & patio with very large containers so there is very little room for much else. My backyard is actually not much bigger than your yard-- with most of the lawn gradually removed! I just love to mix flowers up so they can…"
