Beautiful daylies of all colors are in bloom this month.

Summer time and the gardening is easy with a little grass begone.  When I checked on the results of the first application after 7 days I was surprised - grass was going and I put on the 2nd application.  We shall see what happens this Friday when I check on the begoning process.

well maybe not.  I have grass growing in my ground cover which requires sitting in the ground cover and irradicating it by hand and ending up with sore fingers that can no longer grasp and pull a strand of 12 inch grass.  So to alleviate the sore fingers I decided to try grass be gone which requries an initial application and a follow up application in 7 days. Well on Friday we shall see if there is any evidence of the "grass begoning" after the first appplication.

The temps are finally warming up and it is a sure sign of spring when I see a robin.  I now hear

the birds in the early a.m. when is just starting to get to be daybreak.  Last year we bought a hummingbird

feeder and really enjoyed watching the beautiful tiny hummingbirds come to feed.  This year I picked up a small feeder that I can hang in our tree and hopefully I will be able to attract the cardinals and possibly orioles.

It will be fun to see what happens.
