when you can your tomatoes in jars, make sure you stick a wooden spoon in the jar and get all the bubbles out and mash the tomatoes down in the jar all the way. When I was starting out, I had a lot of juice in the jar with little tomato. But when you do it many times, it takes practice. Let me know how it works.

morning, On your question on your hosta. Hosta's sometimes have new growth that takes on the characteristics of the parent plants or a new plant of it's own [new variety]. Some people call this process reverting or sporting. I just keep taking out the part I don't want. I keep having the same problem every year,too. You cann't make big hostas by dividing them every year. A little frustrated!
