How did your tomatoes do Aubrey? I checked the temperature at 2:20 a.m. and it was 31. But I can't see any damage near the house, I think we made it, I hope you did too

Spring/Summer Garden Installed for 2012

Another Spring/Summer Garden season finds me thanking my husband again for our raised beds.  They are ten times easier to manage than ground planting.  While we still have a nice plot of ground planting, most of the garden is now some type of raised beds.  

Late last fall I planted carrots to winter over and they should be ready for us to enjoy in another week or two.  I think these late fall plantings might have to become a habit since it makes for an easy spring planting.  Might be…

Remaking the garden one step at a time 2010

My husband and I have ripped out every aspect of the previous garden from last year and have doubled the area where it sits. There are two rows of two 12ft x 4ft boxes being installed in each rows. The rows are spaced five feet apart to allow for the garden tractor to come through with the wagon attached so I no longer have to haul the bounty across our acreage...yea for my back.
