Lawn care problem

Naturally I have clay soil. Last year we added 3-4 inches of top soil and then put down turf. It looked pretty good and green till a few months ago. Now it looks in varying degrees of yellow to light green. Two weeks ago I applied general lawn fertilizer to get it green up. Then on advise of a friend also added lime a week after. Yes I know I should've tested the soil before :( my eagerness and not doing due diligence has bite me in behind. well the lawn color hasn't improved at all so while…See More

Hydrangea disease

I thought hydrangeas were disease free. Well now I know different. All of mine have sort of burned leaves. They look like they are drying out but the soil is wet and they are in the shade. They stopped flowering about a month ago and been looking really miserable. Took a sample to Home Depot and was told they have both fungus (antracnose) and bug disease. I sprayed them and hopefully that will do the trick. Has anyone else had this problem? If yes, I would appreciate any helpful advise.

"So far it seems the blue masking tape on top and middle is working. I haven't had any recent rescue mission. The fence is too long to put cloth over all of it but I try to leave my towels on my little clothes line to make them over them.…"

"Great that you could be able to see her fly away. They are such dainty tiny creatures and almost always flying at wide open speeds."

"Oh he is so cute, I hope he made it. We have to put tape on our kitchen window in summer cause birds often batter themselves against it."

Baby hummingbird

Found this baby hummingbird in my back yard. Apparently it had ran into our glass fence. It was pretty dazed. I wasn't sure if it would make it. Fed it some sugar water via a spoon and within 5 minutes it flew away. Hopefully it made it.
