"The fruit from the pineapple guava is not picked. It falls, which is the sign it is ready to eat, and then you pick it up.  In Australia, we are all under the impression it is a New Zealand plant, which I now see, turns out to be wrong."

Contact Administration?

Does anyone know how to contact the administrators of this site? I have a few questions about editing groups I started. I have Name This Plant, Flower, Bush, Tree...?? I want to know if there is a way to move comments to discussions once a plant is IDed and add a photo on the title so others can look through these to ID plants before posting. Does anyone know how to do this or who to contact to find out?

You have a very important group. I bet that almost everyone has a "I don't know its name" plant.

It doesn't appear to be a Balloon Plant 'Chinese Bellflower' upon further investigation. Good Luck.

I want to thank you for the information about the violets not blooming. I've been out of sink since my husband had a stroke. My violet however did bloom after you advise.I have a son-in=law from PA that i adore. I have never been in PA but maybe some day will be able to go. Love your web site.

Hey Beth! So even if I plant it in the summer, the AV's still won't do good in Indy?

Hi Beth, The plant that you posted looks to me like a clematis. It likes it's feet in shade and top in the sun. (I put a hosta in front of mine to shade the root system.) It is a very gentle climber. I don't cut mine back at all at any time. They can be fussy about this kind of treatment. The specific name of it is unknown to me. A favorite here in New England is Jackamani which is a strong purple. Hope this helps.

Please tell me the secret of how to get them to bloom again.I'm talking about africian violets. I've had mine for 8 months now they bloomed once then nothing. I have even tried a heavier fertilizer. I do love your pictures. This site is wonderful for information,
