My husband and I moved into our house 2 years ago, and it did not have landscaping done except the basic. I stopped working november 2008, so now I have time to work in the yard. We have been changing thing constantly. It will take a while, but I love getting my hands dirty :)

- That's a pretty area over there. I love driving down Wilroy in the spring when the dogwoods are blooming...it's breathtaking. I live about half a block from the cultural arts center, right across from the playground of First Baptist church.

- Bonnie, My little violet gets only morning light in my east window behind sheer curtains. I'm watering about once a week when the pot feels light when I pick it up. I'm seeing new leaf growth, but I haven't thought about whether the soil needs to be enriched because I thought I read someplace where they like to be a little root-bound.
I'll welcome any suggestions!

"Joan, I researched this for ya. Yucca like to be planted in sandy or rocky soil and like full sun. Do not over or under water them. Yucca are very hardy and pretty well take care of themselves. Just cut of the dead leaves in the Spring...…"
