My husband and I moved into our house 2 years ago, and it did not have landscaping done except the basic. I stopped working november 2008, so now I have time to work in the yard. We have been changing thing constantly. It will take a while, but I love getting my hands dirty :)
June 12, 2009., finished adding shade garden. Check out the pictures. Also working on a garden along a fence ,128 feet long

That's a pretty area over there. I love driving down Wilroy in the spring when the dogwoods are blooming...it's breathtaking. I live about half a block from the cultural arts center, right across from the playground of First Baptist church.

I do indeed. I grow rosemary, oregano, thyme, parsley, sage, dill, fennel, basil. Nothing beats fresh herbs!

Bonnie, My little violet gets only morning light in my east window behind sheer curtains. I'm watering about once a week when the pot feels light when I pick it up. I'm seeing new leaf growth, but I haven't thought about whether the soil needs to be enriched because I thought I read someplace where they like to be a little root-bound.
I'll welcome any suggestions!
