- My husband is on a fishing trip right now. Hence, my being up at 1:00 am. We are going to fish Vancouver Island in a couple of weeks. I have a small Vegetable garden so I crop rotate. ex.. After I pulled my peas I planted beans in that spot. Same with broccoli, cauliflower and lettuce. Once they were done I yanked and planted corn. It seems to be working for me. Just leave your excess zucchini on peoples doors ring the bell then run that was they can't refuse it :)

- Last year was the first year that I planted a vegetable garden. I have always grown flowers but never from seed. The "direct from seed" part always intimidated me. I took a class and went for it. I have been blown away at how rewarding a vegetable garden has been. My love my borders but with veggies you actually get to "produce" something tangible. Does that make sense? So, I am totally hooked and expanded my vegetable garden this year and everything is doing pretty good. Plus, my two little girls love picking and eating the peas. I love it because it keeps them busy picking the peas and not all my flowers.

I was up till 3am.. planning another garden patio nook.. which stemmed from building the one in front.. and moving old table to the back.. I have a disease that won't let me stop until.. I have it all the way my mind says it should be... pure maddness.. especially when it has been raining so much.. I bought myself a motorcycle rain suit..have a bike anyhow.. but the suit is perfect for working in the garden in.. I get to where I can't handle waiting out the storms anymore.. I have too much to doo.... luckily.. michigan bulb doesn't ship out in the summer month's.. so I can get more ground work done..before the rest of the shipment arrive.. I need to stay off this internet and stop ordering.. I'm too the point I have no idea.. what I'm going to do with all of it.. except keep making more and more beds..
