Bed is six weeks old now. Poppy seeds coming up, tomatoes on the tomato plant, Johnny jump ups blooming along with lots of other things.

"We are also dry in the N.W. corner of Montana. About 13 inches of moisture (snow and rain) a year. I came from Fl so was shocked that people talked about rain in "tenths of an inch". Clothes dry in a hurry on the line!!"

Montana, had a steak there once, wow that was 20 years ago........ha ha ha
If you live on solid rock it has to be difficult to grow stuff, so the raise bed should help. Love the cake safe, it's pretty, and the pansies are sweet......well keep us posted, good luck with the deer, maybe a wire fence, I had to put one up to keep the crazy dogs out, I call them the "the tramplers". Last night it was 55, strange weather.................but my tomatoes like it....their doing great !!!

YIKES! The deer bit the tops off all my sunflowers! My first experience with them and did not know they liked sunflowers. Also broke the top off my tomato plant and I lost six little tomatoes.

I love to use old pots or anything that a flower can go into. Make for a interesting sight.....When we lived in Az. I use to plants lots of things in old boots.......I put herbs in old flower shifters...If I can figure how to put pics. on here from my camera I will show you..
