"I not sure on Azelias but many plants are triggered into blooming by a cooling off period (like winter) along with length of daylight....once they have accomplished this (blooming) they "rest up" for next years blooms."

how can i keep them blumming longer? if I cut the dead flowers from the iris will they re-blum?
