I am going to go a little to the right of the convention wisdom that many of you have commented on regarding the packaging of seeds. The only way I store seed for long time use is in PLASTIC ZIPLOCK bags. I have seed that is over a decade old that…

Compost Tea

I wondered if Dean got my message regarding compost tea? I'm sure you got lots of advice; but let me know if you did get it. Otherwise I think it's "out there somewhere in the vastness of the WEB"!

Interesting name

I have an Aunt Vivian who, when she was little, couldn't pronounce her name.......all she could manage was "Bibi". Stuck with her and she's almost 90.

Carolyn, You asked me the name of the magenta flower that is among my photos. I don't know what it is. It's an annual just planted for the summer. It looks like it's in the ageratum family...but...I could be very wrong. Perhaps someone else recognizes it. I will keep trying to find out.

Winterville is near Athens, GA off of Hwy. 78. Thyme After Thyme is an excellent source of native plants and has an excellent web site.

I was looking in my "Georgia Gardener's Guide" and saw the zone map for just GA. Most of Cobb Co. is in zone 7a, like a small bay dipping into 7b. Must have something to do with the elevation.

Hi Carolyn, I know exactly where Lake Loramie is. My son is getting married there on the lake, at Earl's Pavillion, on Sept. 5th. Pray for good weather for that weekend.
I also agree with you about hearing from all over the country. So very interesting.......!

Its been interesting to read what other gardeners are doing and see what their gardens look like. Some really talented and knowledgeable people sharing their talents.
