Trying to come back from drought.

We in Georgia have suffered for several years in drought filled summers. My garden has suffered with the 100 degree days and no rain but things have been much better the last few weeks. I am looking forward to a better fall. We continue to keep the birds completely happy and well feed. We have attracted three different species of woodpeckers and I am so thrilled! They love suet so much. We will contine to keep them happy throughout the Fall and Winter.

The pictures are great, but there's nothing like seeing the gardens in full bloom up close and in person. Hope you can make a trip to see them. I think June - July are probably the best times.

Hi Catherine, We moved to New Bern from New Hampshire 17 years ago. I just love the longer growing season here. I'm assuming that you have visited New Bern and seen the gardens at the Tryon Palace. If not...it's a must.

I love the photos with the added touches of gecko, dog, and statuary in your garden.
