Farming is Hard!

Here it is May, and what was supposed to be my beautiful farm is proving to be much harder to accomplish than I'd orginally thought. Here was the plan that I'd laid out in February. I was going to till during a sunny streak in March, plot out the newly tilled soil into the garden plan I'd carefully created using Visio and Excel, and start sowing the seed for the cool weather veggies while getting the warmer stuff started in my greenhouse. Then as the weeks marched toward spring I would execute…See More

"I love that greenhouse! When we moved into our house 16 years ago, the prior owner "planted" fake flowers in the flower beds. :) When cleaning out the front bed, I uncovered a beautiful pink peony. It has been blooming faithfully each year."

February 18th 2010 - Getting out into the garden

I've made a small dent, and keep uncovering what I think are iris bulbs. We'll just have to see! This bed will be my project, and hopefully it will end up looking as nice as the rock garden. My husband and I have been working on this rock garden for the last couple of…See More

This is my first post to my first blog. I have never written a blog before because I didn't think anyone would care about what I had to say. Then I found out, that doesn't matter! Even if I'm the only one reading this out in cyber space, that's ok. There's lots of room out there.

Like everyone else who has been…
