"Open Gardens"

Posted on May 13, 2010 at 1:33pm 3 Comments

Years ago I started "Open Garden Week" in Youngstown, NY. Those who were interested, opened their gardens for 1 week to folks to meander thru. We left maps of the open gardens in the local shops. Gardeners are so friendly and love nature. While @ work, I left a pitcher of lemonade and Vivaldi's 'Seasons' playing on my patio near the water & butterfly gardens. Christine, J weighs 18 pounds! You must be tiny, too, to make your toy look so big! Yes, that's a poodle for you: smart and playful! I swear Jakob knows what laughing is! He gets away with too much, because he makes me laugh!

I have nandina and vinca in my containers, too! What zone is Cary? I'm in zone 9, in addition we have micros and a Mediterranean climate here in SF! I'm so grateful for my bit of roof and the plants that have learned to live there in their pots!
