When your tomatoes get about 10" tall or when they start to get flowers, start at the bottom of the plant and cut off "branches" up to halfway up the plant. Then as it starts to fruit trim off non flowering shoots above the fruit to allow light to get to the fruit. Dont allow it to get too bushy but leave it enough foliage to gather nutrients..
