I dug out the tickseed coreopsis too. But I did move that to a place I can contain it. I was down in your area last weekend. Went to the Plymouth farmer's market. Plants sales were fantastic. Looked like some good vendors. I am enjoying your slide show as I am typing this. Very beautiful garden and unique garden decor. I agree about friends, we never critique the other's garden. We just share whatever we can. It is all so beautiful.

I read your responses and love them. I garden by trial and error also. I believe if it doesn't grow it wasn't meant to be there. I want the plants to be hardy but because the enviroment in Michigan works for them. I water and take care of them but if they start looking bad and they're in the correct lighting then I chuck em. I don't know what a cardinal plant is. Can you direct me to a pic?
