"Wondering what kinds of plants you use in your bog filter Greg? I've always only used water celery in a small top pond that feeds my waterfalls and acts as my filter, cutting it back and removing buildup throughout the season. I'd love to…"

"Will try to get some good pics of the fish, the ones I have are grainy at best. Koi (Family:Cyprinidae Genus:Cyprinus species:carpio) and shubunkin/goldfish (Cyprinidae Carassius auratus) can mate and produce a sterile "mule" so that may…"

"love your garden and pics. For my bird pics I used a 8 megapixel cannon camera with a 12X zoom. With no tripod it takes a few shots to get something even remotely steady."

I was hoping I would find a picture of your fish. AND thanks for the comment. I noticed int he last few days a new fish appearing out of no where. I would guess he is an off spring that just came otu from his rock. He is CERTAINLY a cross of something. I was shocked they could cross breed. Maybe the shubunkins and the koi, but I think this guy is a cross with a comment and an algaie eater. IS that possiable? He is hald balck and half orange. STRANGE.

DO you ever have any problems with cranes? IF so what do you do for control? I seem to be having a problem.

THANKS for your info.

Hi David,

Yes I have comets and fan tail(ryukins) and koi and shubunkins. Soem are 3 summers old, most are one year old and I have bought a few new guys. There is one koi that has grown so fast and is now the largest guy I have. IT IS STRAGNE how they grow. Some quick and some slow. I have had problems with the crane having orange sushi in my pond. HOPE i have that figured out.

Do you have a pond? Fish?

THANKS for adding me as your frined.
