"Have fun. You went from a very warm climate to a more 4 season climate. If you get back into roses (zone 5) you may need to bury them 2 inches above the crown. Hope you have all your vegetables in. Enjoy Dave"

"Love your Raccoons. My cousin raised one when I was young. She was so smart and very clean. Her name was Clarabell. I loved to feed her and watch her wash everything she put in her mouth. Your home is beautiful...I love log cabins, and the flowers…"

The photos were taken by my family this past summer when I was in the hospital. I missed most of the growing season. On June 3rd 08 I had come home from work, mowed the lawn and was in the process of blowing off the driveway...didn't make it to the tractor...and collapsed dead. Someone driving past the house noticed me and stopped. That set things into motion. My neighbors were summonmed by my wife (she happened to be home and is an ER nurse). Her husband began chest compressions while she took over the breathing....the EMT, Volunteer Ambulance, and MD arrived. Once at the hospital I coded two more timesand the family was given a very poor prognosis. I had multiple organ failure. Our church family and several others across the country rose to the occasion and helped out alot! Seven grueling weeks later I was allowed to come home. God answers prays and is still in the miracle buisness. Also an RN, I know first hand what it is like to be on the receiving end. I have been medically disabiled. Gardening is one of the recomended hobbies for exercise....and my wife and kids thought I was going to cut back! It takes me alot longer to do things, but observing Gods creation and beauty is wonderful and should not be taken for granted. Life IS SHORT! So get out and enjoy!
