I'm about 134 miles east of Great Bend. I live in Council Grove. I'm about 40 miles south of Manhattan (KS Country).

Sounds like a great addition to your garden. There is nothing like the sound of water to relax outside...so soothing. I pulled my tools together to head outside yesterday, and had to take one of my daughter's yorkies (that I'm babysitting) to the vet. By the time I got back it was raining, so I painted instead.

Hi Debi! Were you able to get outside this weekend? What's the temperature in Boise? We're suffering through 90 degrees and over this week in Atlanta, GA! It's hard to get out there when it's so hot.

Sorry to hear about your loss. That must be very difficult. I'm sure gardening helps somewhat. I know it helped me get through becoming an 'empty nester' by keeping me so exhausted:-P
I've joined Pets in the Gdn, Perennials, Zone 7, Roses & Georgia, but am interested in Hostas,Annuals,Hummerbird,Butterfly,Birds,Fragrance,Containers,Orchids,UKingdom,Moon Gdning,Joining the Preserve,Bugs,Camera Type,Deers, &
Woodlands/Ferns. Think I must cut back to viewing 1 gdn per day tho so I can get more done in the gdn & paint more. I can get caught up perusing these beautiful gdns for hours!!!

Hi Debi! I posted 2 pics of my garden paintings with my other pics. 'English Estate' & 'Meditation Garden'. Check them out for what an 'over 50' new artist can learn... if the will is there. LOL You should join me at a Gardening Photog.or art workshop sometime. They are held all over the country or internationally:) They are soooo much fun! Water color is much harder for me because you can repaint oils as many times as needed. One chance with WC:-/

LoL.If I could remember half of what I've learned I'd be a master gardener AND a professional photog!!! You'll be sure to pass on anything of interest from your class...I hope:~) It's never too late to learn new tricks. I started oil painting classes when I couldn't draw a stick figure a year ago...and I'm quite proud of my progress<:)
