Yes, the hostas are beautiful here! The rhododendrons and azaleas. I have even found a few succulents that do well along a sunny block wall next to a crushed granite path.

Oregon coast in zone 8b

I live on  the Oregon coast in zone 8b. But gardening here is much different than zone 8 inland. We get a great deal of rain year round, which I really don't mind. But the amount of steady sun we get is difficult to predict. Summers inland can get up in to the high 80's for days at a time. Our summer temps stay in the 70's with only an occasional day in the low 80's.
