Edith, I have the little yellow iris. It was in front of the other iris until this spring...then I moved it to the pond. It is planted directly behind the pond and between my 2 little purple iris. I didn't want to move it but I thought it would look better near the pond since I have alot of short grasses and another yellow iris in the pond. I see you are on facebook also?? I am but don't stay on there long...just long enough to get caught up on my kids and friends. Check out your facebook I sent a message with a friend request.

Good morning, Edith...Your pictures are wonderful. The fountains are unique and perfect. Gives me tons of ideas for my place. But my favorite is that rascal squirrel! Did he figure out how to get out on his own without any help from you. We have a raccoon that raids our birdfeeder so I try and remember to take them in every night!

The Voodoo Lily is a bulb. We didn't even know about it until one day last year there was this huge burgundy bloom buried in a bush right outside our back door. I had to google it to find out what it was. Not sure what zones it grows in, I didn't check into it that far.
We thought we had dug out all the bulbs from under the bush (they definitely like shade) but have 2 or 3 that still come up under the bush. I'll probably move some of the bulbs again this year out to our front yard.

Hi Edith,
The plant you commented on in my pictures is a Voodoo Lily. I have no idea if it is edible. I have been told that when in bloom they smell like rotting flesh. They have bloomed for us for 2 years now and I have yet to smell anything....kind of glad I guess hehehe
