I can remember from the age of 4 that I began my interest in nature and plants. Since then gardening, landscaping, plants (particularly native species, wild edibles, and medicinal) have been a passion and lifelong hobby and interest. I had a landscaping business where I focused on creating Garden Rooms, Labyrinths, Sacred Space, and Backyard Wildlife Habitats - I would say... ""I'm probably the only landscaper in the USA who doesn't own a lawn mower or do lawns, I tear them out."
Today my business has shifted to essential oils and aromatherapy (it's easier on my body) and I reserve my physical energy for my own garden. Continuing to remain close to the plant world I've expanded and experienced essential oils for over 20 years; everything from First Aid to using them as dietary supplements, to healing my aches and pains to staying well. The healing and beneficial properties of plants has also been a passion since childhood. At 15 years old I began using herbs for healing and food.
The past few years I've spent writing almost daily on essential oils, aromatherapy, and other things natural and wild. I've created and support two blogs
http://TheVeryEssenceBlog.com and
http://YoungLivingCircleBlog.com I've also studied: traditional Feng Shui, Labyrinth Design & Facilitation, Native Plants in the Landscape, Herbology, and Organc Landscaping.
Other interests: Birding, Butterfly Watching, Hiking, Camping, Photography, Cooking (slow and local), and of course love the environment in general (trying to help keep the place 'Greener').
Looking forward to meeting other gardener's and seeing what everybody is up to, happy gardening!
