Can't believe it's still raining here... had a serious storm this morning. I'm getting frustrated... still so much garden work to do!

Tammy, your rubber plant is fabulous! Mine looks pretty bad - I left it outside this winter because I was down with a broken hip and didn't even think about it. I'm being nice to it now that I'm back on my feet, and it looks happier,…

The largest planters I use are half wine barrels, but I have lots of them, mostly with vegetables. This year I saw a Gunnera at my local nursery and decided to plant a green shade planter on the front patio. This is my first attempt at this kind of…

Something similar is part of the architecture of all of the houses in this development... maybe the builders were gardeners themselves. I've always used it to full advantage!

Many thanks for your encouraging remarks! My garden suffered this winter due to lack or rain and my being ill! I'm getting it back into shape now, though! When it looks presentable I'll post new pics!

Hi, Francie

I had to laugh at your response, same one I would have given if you'd ask me how do I get my African Violets to bloom, lol. They just do! No special forumula.

What spectular container gardening you have, love all the varieties of plants. Your animal and bird pictures are wonderful, especially love the one with the squirrel sitting on the wall. I love you orchids, they are so beautiful, I have one but it has never bloomed, how do you get it to flower?

Thanks, Francie! The weather where I live is insane. In southeastern Kentucky, we have cold winters and very hot summers. We usually have drought this time of year, but this year we have had a lot of rain and flooding. The rain has helped my garden a lot, though. Love your pics! :)
