Welcome, Jenica Poduje!

Profile Information

Skill level
What kind of gardening do you like to do?
I love all gardening but I prefer specialty shade plants, adding color with foliage as opposed to blooms and I enjoy succulents and anything strange and unusual looking.
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
10 hours more or less depending on what my kids allow

We are working on improving the front of our house. It hasn't been painted for over 12 years, according to the neighbors, and all the plants are overgrown. I wish we could afford to do it all at once but it will have to happen over time. I hope to document the changes as they occur in this forum. I'd love any advice or input along the way.

Hi! Found you while looking up Sedum this morning. Love your pics! I think we share the same sense of adventure in the garden :)

Lovely setting, all the basics are there, just needs your finishing touches and personalization.

Thanks for visiting my page, Jenica. Yes, hostas are a main-stay in my shade /woodland gardens. I love them. I think I have about every size, shape and color ... and I am lucky in that most of them were given to me, rather than purchased. I have a good friend that is a hosta collector, and actually has a 1,000 varieties! It looks like you are working very hard on your shade gardens and doing a very good job. You will find that a good landscape will add value to your home and property value. Keep up the good work!

Yes she's a real live snapper and if the estimates for size are correct she's over 60 years old! I suspect she's been laying eggs up here long before the house was built.
Your ferns and ground cover with the hostas looks great.
