The tree in front of the garden house is a golden chain tree. Where are you? We don't have any houses that old out here!

Hi Joanne, I'm very new to this. I think I sent a message to myself instead of responding to you. Anyway, I live in Washington in a house built in 1938. I believe it is zone 6. It was built and lived in by the same woman up until we bought it in 2007. She is responsible for the mature landscaping, I am just taking over for her. The picture is deceiving as it looks tidy because there are no flower beds around it. I do most of the gardening myself, but my husband and brothers help with heavy stuff. Was the snow picture current... and typical?

I've been to Maine, probably 3 times in my life time. Once we went up thru New Brunswick to the Bay of Fuendi and I went fishing in a cement boat. Then somehow we went across Canada on Queens Hghwy 1........to the Kamloops, down thru the Badlands, the Dakotas and back home to Mich.......What a grand trip !!!! that was about 18 years ago, and about 4 years ago I went to Portland Maine for a Karate tournament, took 12 female, teenage blackbelts, I chaparoned, with some other mothers.......Lots of fun, came home with lobster hats..................LOL

I'm zone 5, the rose is a climber rose that was growing wild in the yard when we bought the house. The picture of the daisy like flower that looks like it has something like paint splatters on it is actually suppose to be that way, it is a trait of that species. And thank you for the compliment on the flamingo. I just keep repainting it, don't know what is holding it together. I heard on the news that the weather everywhere is a bit strange, In Michigan it has been chilly enough in the evenings to wear a sweater. Very cloudy, then sunny mid noon.
