I have been staring at those developing little buds for what seems like forever and came home from work today to discover two had finally bloomed!!! From the profusion of buds should be many more.

Also, a couple coneflowers. Love those things.

My garden is small but apparently well planned (unintentionally) as the season has been an ongoing showing - some come, then go, then new ones come! Love it! :D

It has been so hot here the last few days that I haven't been outside much in "the little flower garden that could." I bought a compost bin recently and got around to putting it together today. Now, I know, some of you are going to say that I could have built my own. But trust me - I'm not a "build-it-yourself" kind of gal. If it doesn't "snap" together, I might as well give up.

I've been a bit worried about my daylilies as there are tons blooming around here and mine didn't even have any buds.
