1999/2006 Building My Garden

I never did very much gardening other than basic lawn and shrubs before this home. I turned a weed-infested bermuda-grass-covered ugly clay rental yard into a nice retreat.

Looking for the best deep yellow rose.

I have tried a few yellow roses and seen yellow roses of friends, all beautiful, but I have found them to lose color quickly, bloom scarcely, die quickly or lack resistance to insects and disease.  I have yet to find one that remained deep yellow and attractive for any period of time unless they were part of a dual-color rose.  I am not looking for a quick flush of beauty, but rather an ongoing statement - preferably a repeat bloomer.  The deeper the yellow the better for me - no pale yellows…See More

Hey KJ: Pardon me for opining ,but you just had a great loss, you don't want to loss another pet.Have you thought of getting another girl birdie as a companion to him? It's NOT a replacement of course, just a new family.A new beginning? Try browsing around the local petshop, see how you feel.Or wait til you process your grief a bit. It's been my experience that hasty decisions during grief are usually regretfull.just a thought.Ooh!... I thought of another scripture I looove this one!

Psalm 42:5,8

"5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
   Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
   my Savior and my God.

8 By day the LORD directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life."

There's more to it ,its beautifull,it blesses me.Thanks for the gift sweetheart. The Lord bless you:)

Yes the plant I was referring to is the English Primrose.I have them in the window ,they where wilting even after I gave them water so I ignored them for a while til they dried out a bit then watered them again and they perked right up! So odd,it happened after it cooled a bit too,I read they like it cooler. They are like me,they perk up when it's cooler lol! Thnks for the tips::)

HeyKJ: So sorry about your birdie Baby:( Did she live long? I still miss my Nina.I even cry sometimes.I just remembered a scripture :

Psalm 56:8

"8Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle"

It comforts me to know that God puts my tears in his bottle.I hope it does you too:)
