What kind of gardening do you like to do?
Vegetable , flower and herbs. I also like to feed the birds and Hummers.
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
Every chance I get ! Around 10 hrs. a week!

Can't believe it's July already!

My goodness, where ever does the time go.Wasn't it just a few weeks ago, I put my garden in. By the way, everything is growing so beautiful. My sweet corn is up to my waste. I have beans growing up my cage, tomatoes have lots of blossoms, my sweet bell peppers are delicious. What can I say. This is the beginning of another great garden feast.
Hope all is well with everyone out there. Let me know how your veggie garden is growing.

Told to go home and sleep so the muscles relexed in the area around the eye so I had less pain. I got some take out for my dinner since hubby is working overtime. Doing a little on the comupter and then back to the chair for some quiet time with the dogs and the TV.

Looks like a crappy weekend in Pa. Not sure what we are doing since he might have to work his vacation...maybe dinner on Saturday night. Oh and Steeler time on Sunday. GO STEELERS (^_^)

Hubby working overtime because another person quit at his job. I have to go tomorrow to White Oak for additional surgery on some basal cell cancer on my face. There is always something "broke" on my body.

Going to try to head up north this weekend for our 10th anniversay...just depends on his schedule. He has vacation scheduled but if no one else can do the work he will and then be off later.

Garden is done all but the brussel sprouts and flowers. Cleaned up some last week but just have no desire to pass out because of not feeling well. Hope to see you soon...

As for the garden...it is green and producing just enough tomatoes for us to eat...corn is small and I really think the dogs will be eating it. Broc and brussel sprouts doing great. Squash looks bad. Wilted leaves even with the rain. I will not plant it next door next year. I think the mold I had last year is coming back. I am making vegetable for dinner with a side of meat. haha Bought my bus ticket for my Sept trip to Ameila Island with my g friends. Looking forward to the beach and seafood. Have not got to use the popup yet and we have someone who wants to buy it for more than we paid for it. Might sell it to them because they have 3 kids and not alot of money for vacations. We can always rent a cabin when we have the time. Donnie has been working overtime to pay for my DR bills. Need to go pay some bills and get some groceries. Let me know when you are free for breakfast.

Peas are done and beans are slow growing this year. Picking zucks and tomatoes. I have had roma, celebraty, grape, yellow, orange, and red cherry tom. Lots of herbs and MINT and more MINT haha. Lavendar is just about done blooming so I will be cutting it back to get more blooms in the fall. Have eaten 1 green pepper and more on the way. One of my potatoe plants is completely dried up and the potatoes are popping out of the ground...guess they are ready?(I never grew them before). Just took some more pictures this morning so need to get them on the computer. Still need to dig the iris and divide them. Husband said that is this weekend project. I twisted my knee and can't dig so he will dig and I will seperate and clean them up.

Good luck with the moving. Where is she moving(what area?) Any closer to you? May sister was to move to this area but took her house off the market...No one even looked at it. The Carlisle area seems to be a "dead" housing area. Trucking companys have laid off many of there drivers so no one moving. She has a job and is OK there for now. Maybe next year if the economy picks up???? Let me know when you want to get together.

I use to know how to use my Canon AE-1 but since my car accident in 2000 I don't remember how to do settings like F-stop. Maybe you can remind me what I use to know??? Or it might just not be in my head anymore. I lost a lot of long term and now deal with short termmemory. I have to write everything down to remember. Like our breakfast date is on my calendar so I see it everyday. The mind is a mysterious thing. Happy hot day to you. I will be inside more than out.

Hello, I think the 22nd would be the best for me. I have a dr appt on the 23rd that I forgot about. So what is a good time. I am up everyday 7AM at the latest. Not sure what time they open? Let me know. Going for a haircut and to look for some stones for the backyard. Hope it is hot enough for you today. Tomorrow even better. Would like a little rain to fill my rainbarrels again. There empty. Have a great day.

I was thinking about you today and told my husband I was going to write you a note tonight. I have eaten 5 yellow cheery tomatoes, and picked 4 squash. Many peas and brocolli and the beans are coming. My corn(if you want to call it that) is knee high and that is it. I might be eating that for Christmas. I have to get something for the bugs on my leaves. tried soap no luck. Have slugs everywhere this year. As for the temp. I don't tollerate the heat at all. I like 85 when I have my butt in the ocean. I have trouble breathing in the humidity also.
I was going to see when you wanted to go to Wagners? Needs to be a Wed. or Thursday for me. Let me know. Glad your garden is doing so well. Keep up the good work.

Happy 4th to you also. We will be sitting on bleachers watching my oldest(7yr old) grandson play baseball. He is on a traveling team and they are in line for the championship. Familys are all to busy for a picnic but will make up for that on the 18 at the family reunion in Creekside, PA (near Indiana). Have a great day and hope we don't get rain.
