"Kim, I have only one cuke on six plants shaped just as you describe. I got plenty of blossoms but only one cucumber so which leads me to think that the flowers never got pollinated. I hope the bees do better next year."

"Hey Karen, There are a couple of factors that can create "balloon" cukes. Widely varied moisture/temperature or poor soil fertility. Since you're cukes have been doing fine up until now, I'm going to guess it's the soil.…"
