"there is a lumber place just up the road from me and they throw dozens away weekly.  Anyone can just go get them....I think Lowe's and Home Depot throw them away...ask around at any place that uses them for transport and just ask. "

"Looks so great, I thin I want one but where does one find pallets? I only see them being used, hope this is not a stupid question, I'm new at this gardening and I want to do everything. How many pallets did it take to make your potting bench?"

"very, very nice Susan...I use pallets in my attic to dry my gourds on.  The slats give them some air so they aren't just siting directly on the floor.  Great recycle."

My husband made this potting bench for me out of a pallet. Such a great way to recycle!

Hi Karen, I just joined...your gardens are wonderful ! I live on a salt water canal in Palm Coast, so not a big yard...I do make the most of it though planting pretty much wherever I find an open space...of course I have to keep a little grass for my two italian greyhounds, and our now new addition, our first retired greyhound...:) I'll get pics out as soon as I can ...

Karen your garden is gorgeous. I love all of the little succulents, ferns, grasses well all. I'm showing my husband. You live in a climate that really allows for beautiful growing. Here in Texas it's a fight to keep things alive but i'm working on it. I'm starting today.

We've been gone for a bit....got the gardening in order and took off for a while and was glad to find some messages upon returning. Peaceful is a good summary.....thanks! Even when I know how much there is to do I can still enjoy what has been done!!! I'm excited to check out Lowes on the mold....always did like making mud pies...i'm in the market for a potter's wheel this fall!!! I may get some early practice....or I could spend my winter get a walk way made!!!!

Thank you. Yes everything grows fast and furious here do do the weeds. So it can be a lot of work to maintain.

"Hi Cindi, glad you like them, but oh no. Most Bowling balls are much too heavy for me. I use those big foam balls from the craft store. Much lighter and easier to work with, and you can stick things in them. Put on a coat of adhesive grout…"
