I am having a lot of fun using household throw outs as egg shells, coffee grinds and old tea bags into my landscape. As we do have very high alcaline soil I supplement with lemon, orange or lime peels, chopped in pieces after I squeeze the juice out! To my suprise, I just noticed an additional benefit, I had all kinds of citrus fruits growing where I deposited the seeds and chopped up peel from the fruits.
