"Just bring your geraniums inside and plant them in pots. Place them in sunny windows and don't overwater. They bloom all winter and are ready to be placed into the garden next season. Best, Kathy"

If you have a late frost, it will kill the buds. Also harsh winters will kill the buds. They are not a northern plant in nature. They bloom so early that winter is still about. I am from MI and we have a problem of them not blooming. We can usually trace it back to a late frost or a hard winter. Especially if it was windy. They set their buds in the fall. Therefore, winter damage is a problem
