What kind of gardening do you like to do?
edible landscaping, raised beds, horticulture therapy, organic
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
As much as time, mother nature and my energy allows! We have 20 acres and are working towards self-reliance. Putting in huge orchard / garden to feed ourselves, help with parents and others in need. Plans are to also sell local fruits and vegetables along side developing my massage therapy business and making creams, lotions and goats milk soap. I am very much into the nutrition aspect of gardening: Growing our Nutrition and educating others to do the same.

Kat's In The Garden Journal....where I document our gardening and landscaping projects!

Come see what my family is up to as we work on our garden and landscaping projects!

I was just in your neck of the woods! I was invited to the Garden Home by P Allen Smith just this past April 26 & 27th. Left California to fly into Tornado weather hmmmmm I had a wonderful time introducing my 100% natural Soil nutrients at his first Garden2Blog event. I stayed at the Lovely refurbished Capital Hotel in downtown Little Rock were I was treated like a Queen : ) YEAH Arkansas is all I can say : )

Hi Kathy:) I guess I just noticed that you live in Arkansas? My husband and I know some folks that live in Little Rock:) Hot and humid there, eh? You must have many opportunities to grow things that I only dream about - such as a crape myrtle? Those bougainvilleas? Jasmine? Sooooo beautiful - sold here only as patio plants:( Thinking of you today - we FINALLY got some sunshine here for a couple of hours:) I'm going outside now - before it leaves!!!

Wow, she is a doll! I wondered if they weren't allowed to garden out there. I know if he or his wife are motivated enough, there are some local community gardens throughout the city that I have seen. If they are interested, I could find a link for you to send them, or a name perhaps. I have seen some wonderful things in those gardens, that are definitaly not grown locally.
