Thank you Kay! As for the picture it is actually about 3 1/2 years old. I was pregnant with our baby girl in it. She is now 3. Time does fly. I will have to get a newer one posted. My kids ages are 11,9,5,and 3. Don't you love SFG? The guy who invented it is from UT and still lives here. We have terrible dirt so it is a great idea. I follow some of his techniques but am not a purist.
How about that, Someone actually knows where Hazel Green is! Yes, Toney is right down the road from me. I have not tried Square Foot gardening as this is my maiden voiage in gardening here in Hazel Green. I'm trying to see what I can do in this clay this year and then next year amend my techniques. So far my perieniels are a little slow to start growth, but now doing quite well. The tomatoes are less happy :(, but I'm still trying. I might have to try the square foot gardening and check out the difference.
We hope to add more this fall and finish next spring. It is kind of expensive to get started but worth it. It's just so good for us. We had so many weeds. I'm sure we have a lot to learn still.
Your flowers are nice. I notice you have a Calla Lily. I bought one a few months ago and noticed that it has no flowers now but some strange pod things on it. It is in semi shade. It is not doing as well as yours. Do you know what the pods are and how I can get it to do better? Thanks.
