"Kay, what some amazing climbing roses, mine have a long way to go before they reach this stage. However I do love your idea of having them climbing over a stand alone trellis. Thanks for sharing."

Hydrangea

"Hi Ramey,   This picture was taken 2 yrs ago.  Last year, the blooms were about 8-9" across.  These seem to do best when they don't get much direct sun."

Little Lamb Hydrangea

"It is very easy to grow. The only problem I've had is after 3 yrs the blooms have gotten so big the stems tend to droop. I never expected the blossoms to get that big."

"I have also been gardening in raised beds for the last 3 years. I'll never again do it any other way. I would say I've probably only pulled a dozen weeds from my 3 8X4 beds this whole year. This way is definitely low maintenance."

Basil is very easy to grow from seed. EASY!!! I don't know if you purchased a plant or started it from seed. Could be it was too moist or bugs ate it??? Anyway-Purchase a pack of seeds. Sow it in some small pots. Put in the sun. When plants get an inch or so high you can pull them apart and repot them. After a week or so plant them in the ground, a flowerpot or give them away to friends! Hope this was a little bit of help!

Oh Kay,! I love your pics ! ! The Rose of Sharon is grown here in FL, but they call it "Althea". I miss the Ohio weather in the summer. I know it gets hot, but not like here . I cannot tolerate the humid heat much, so I am looking forward to making boxes and growing things easier.

Hey Kay, haha that rhymed.

Thank you for the tip on using epsom salt. I am going to try it on my climber! Also Good idea about using the rocks with mulch on top. That might give my vine a little more support then just the mulch I am using now.
