I started gardening for the first time last year and I find it so relaxing. My plan is to leave a few spots that I can add different annuals every year to change things up a bit. I wish I had more space to plant but I live in a townhome and this is about the extent of my garden.
I have four burning bushes in the front garden also and I plant to create a shade garden below them. I want to plant japanese painted ferns, huecheras, and more hostas (all varieties).I'm considering Astilbe as well but I'm not sure how delicate they are. I've already planted some yellow green hostas and purple ajuga (large and small) below the bushes.
I'm an interior designer and it's been a wonderful process to find another creative outlet. I would love any advice anyone has to offer as I'm trying to learn as much as possible.
