"My grandpa used to have an ole rain barrel out back of the house. They too used it to water grandma's flower garden. I remember helping grandpa as a little girl. Love the Climatis."

"ivy takes forever and ever to do even the least wee bit of damage to brick siding....i have seen 100 yr old homes totally covered with ivy..thick...and they were just fine....dont worry, just enjoy"

Flowers and vegetables (square foot gardening). I also work at a greenhouse during the summer.
How much time do you spend a week on average in your garden when weather permits?
At my house, probably 10-15 hours. When I'm working, at least 8 more with those plants.

Hi Kelley from PA - I am gardening in Philly, glad to read your posts and I enjoy your enthusiasm for Gardeners Index.  The square foot gardens really worked out for you! I have a condo with some shared garden spaces, so I do perennials, annuals and a few tomatoes and herbs thrown in for fun. For all the hard work, I get a feast for the eyes, not the tummy.
