@ Robin - No. We have been so very dry. Got a good soaking from some thunder storms the last to nights might help. All of my transplants from friends are in one bed.... They are all in bud, but nothing has opened yet.

@Sheryl - Glad to see you have turned off the date stamp on the photos. All of that info is metadata on each pic. If you look at the file name when you download from your camera, it should tell you the date and time the photo…

Opened FRI and didn't have time to post. Very fickle... opens late in the evening, and by the next afternoon, the bloom is gone. Too hot to go to the yard now, but a lot has bloomed this weekend while I was in VA Beach.

An attempt to build a greenhouse from used windows...

This has been a dream of mine since our family purchased a fallow, 5 acre farm in north east, North Carolina. I am going to try and document the construction of a greenhouse on WILLOW LAWN, our farm.

Putting two children through school dips into the disposable income for extraneous things like a greenhouse. Fast forward 15 years, and we now have the good fortune that my in-laws are replacing a boatload of windows in their VA Beach home, windows that will become the majority of the… Continue
