There is a very informative documentary out about colony collapse disorder. "Vanishing of the Bees" it's available on live stream at Netflix. It contains some important information about the value of bees.

Sorry that I haven't post since Feb. but things have been busy here. I finally got the bees the second week in April. I was suppose to take delivery on the first weekend but from what the supplier told me, their bee supplier is very picky about the queens he raise's. He wanted to be sure that the queens that he supplied were good egg layers. The day that I "hived' the bees from the packing cage to the hive was some what nerve racking and exciting. Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and find it very interesting. I have been gardening since I was a kid with my dad in the backyard garden and have continued in my adult life.
