"I can't believe it, 3 days in a row we had some sun. I'm in heaven. I'm now eating ripe sweet strawberries and my peas are almost ready to pick."

"I live in Western Washington and recently my webbed feet has fallen off and I have grown a tail and gills. I've given up on traditional veggies in my yard and I am now growing sea lettuce and algae quite well."

"Summer is almost here. I remember fall and winter, but what happened to spring? Spring is my favorite season. Maybe summer will become spring and fall will become summer. I wouldn't mind skipping winter."

"Harry, it could be raccoons. I saw on the news lately about raccoons doing a lot of damage to homes, including their roofs. If pets share the same food/water with raccoons, they can get some nasty disease."

"Anne, thanks for the tip on white vinegar. I sometimes use it to kill out of control weeds or grass. I have flagstone paths all over my property and I have found numerous ant nests under them. I have been resisting killing them but they are taking…"

"You know you are in Washington when it's raining and you are in the dog kennel (because it's dry) potting plants. You also see your next door neighbor mow his lawn in rain gear."

"Forget waiting for the sun, I think I'm going to put on rain gear to garden in the mud. At least the weeds pull up easier. I finally got a few ripe strawberries, but the ants got them first. So I sprayed garden with worm tea and fish…"

"I sprinkled the yard with a bunch of flower seeds, I hope the rain doesn't wash it away. My lawn is out of control. I mowed it a week ago, then a few days later I needed to mow it again. It's now a jungle out there! I love my old fashioned…"

"The weather was beautiful today in Olympia. I went out in my yard and went crazy with mowing and weed pulling. I love this time of the year when everything starts to bloom and everything that looked dead in the winter comes alive again."

"Randall, your front yard sounds pretty. I haven't talked me husband into letting me get rid of all the lawn yet, but it's more than half gone. I have told my neighbors on each side that I plan on sharing veggies with them, one is really…"

"Aleta, thank you for the info on the last frost date. I have a bad habit of getting too eager and putting veggies out too soon, then they die. Anyone else plan on growing veggies in the front yard? I'm hoping not to have a problem with too many…"
